No problem, you can just take it for a drive if you like. :thumbsup

Dave, forgot you had an SC. Loved that car too but way out of my budget. :(

Thanks everyone. :thumbsup

Craig at Murray's usually has some almost new oval SC exhausts in his shed, has a nice sound but should be much quieter than the Larini. Usually available for the cost of an hours fitting! :)

Excellent thanks for that, I think I may get tired of the Larini noise, that and the fact everyone can hear you coming which is not ideal.

Also on reviewing my mpg calcs as I've just filled up again it would appear that I must have used more than half a tank, guessing the second half disappears quicker than the first half going by the guage. Anyway 200 miles to the tank which is about 25mpg. :thumbsup

Good to hear you are enjoying the new car. If you do decide to take the Larini of and you have no other use for it let me know and I will make you a generous offer for it.

Thanks

Danny

Second half does go quicker than the first half Don, takes quite a time to go from full to 34.

However you should be on about 35mpg on a motor way run if you are sticking to around 80tuts.

It does sound very good but I'm worried it may fail the tighter trackday noise tests. Have to keep turning the radio up to hear it.

Also I'm not sure which version larini it is, other than loud.

Yeh that's what I thought. From what I was used to 200 miles is pretty good from a tank on a spirited run given the size of the tank. I'm sure it will happily get 34mpg on a motorway run. Sits at 4k revs at 80 so under the cam change point which is perfect.

Been meaning to ask tut how your car was on Spazz, just re-read your purchase thread and didn't realise it was 370 bhp?! How does it manage that? That must be mental! Car looks great in white, really nice. How would you compare it to your S1 Hondas?

Yep i can't see the Larini passing at some of the stricter circuits. The 2bular is lovely D, I am about to stick one on my S240. I initially had the stage 3 on my SC Elise, which was way to intrusive and loud, so I swapped that also for the 2bular , which coped with 3500 miles across Europe, without doing our ear drums in.
They come up quite often on SELOC Donald.

Thanks Paul, when did you change to the Exige? I'll try and get up to knockhill and see it. 8)

I guess I'm going to have to sign up to SELOC as I could do with some exige/wider wheels too. Fronts mainly to help with tyre choices. I need to find out what version Larini is on mine so I can judge noise from that. I'll have to have a closer look at it. Will probably just stick a standard Elise SC box (thanks to Darks tip and Craig at MMC) on it for the meantime to ensure it's not too loud, then get a listens at some others before buying another.

On another note I managed to fix the 'crosseyedness' it had on full beam. Just bent the light back into place! :damnfunny That's the easiest fix I've ever had on any car. :thumbsup

I think you'll find the Lotus approved terminology is "eased the bracket to spec"
