But I thought that as soon as you buy a rear-wheel drive car it makes you tail-out drift god?SAJ wrote:Looks like a great place to learn how to handle your car properly for those of us who aren't that great.

Unless that means being able to hold the steering wheel straight with your foot down hard I'm afraid that hasn't happened to meGBOBM wrote: rear-wheel drive car it makes you tail-out drift god?
I seriously need to learn how to drive my car properly, but everywhere that does seems to be down south so just not that convenient.

Book yourself on a trackday and go out with the instructor, or one of the regulars hereSAJ wrote:Unless that means being able to hold the steering wheel straight with your foot down hard I'm afraid that hasn't happened to meGBOBM wrote: rear-wheel drive car it makes you tail-out drift god?

Re: Driftland
I got along to their test day, though only managed one session as I was leaking oil. The corners at the back end of the track are fairly tight, but the rest of the track is reasonably good fun and they can run a few different layouts. Not sure what they've got coming up but definitely worth heading along and making your own mind up if you get a chance.
I think (don't quote me on this), that they had something up a little while back where on some of their days you'll be able to book on for single 10 minute sessions or something similar. It's not going to be the same as a full day session at knockhill or somewhere down south but it's not supposed to be. However for somewhere to give a car a bit of a carefree thrashing it seems a good setup. I'll be heading down again at some point!

Not really - they are few and far between and even then to get hold of them for that use is really hard.SAJ wrote:Anywhere in Scotland?Andy G wrote:
