New V6 Exige pics

Having now seen the EP and the VP cars in the flesh I can safely say that none of the photo's out there do the car justice. Looks properly grown up and the fit and finish is much better than previous Exige's. That and damn is it wide . Looks proper mean . If it goes half as well as it looks it'll be some machine .

Seems I've missed a few pages of this thread! Are the test drives limited to 70/80 people then? Graeme also still owes me a factory tour as I recall!

Glad to see there's been a very positive reaction to the New Exige and rightly so! Can't wait to drive one. Any ideas as to how many Lotus are building or are they just built to order?

All production slots are sold out until March/April already which is indeed a good sign.

The V6 was always going to sell well when you look at the performance.

Might be a while yet Justin, the evaluation prototypes and the validation prototypes are the only ones on the go at the moment. The EP cars have to be destroyed once development is finished and production isn't due to start till March IIRC.

Last I heard, production of press cars was beginning in November, followed by dealer orders. I have a production slot for delivery Feb/March, with exact date to be confirmed when they know how long it has taken to build first few. The first orders are now all spec'd as far as I know.

Just read on PH that 383 Exige V6's have been ordered, and 200 Evora GTE's.. Impressive!

So 383 ordered and 80 being built in the first batch with the second batch not being delivered for roughly September time. that means a LONG wait for quite a lot of people who have an order in for one I would have thought.

My understanding is that there are 80 being built in the first batch for the UK. As it is such a small market for Lotus I would imagine that there are considerably more being built for the export market. Various dealers are also advertising the V6 for sale on PH so I wonder if these are ones that they have ordered for stock?
