He cant stay the good boy forever. He needs to get agresive and start working on the intimidation. Nobody on track is flustered by him. Schumacher could almost scare people off the track...

A bit like see Tut or McKean in your mirrors at KH...... You know its time to shift over.. 8)
Yeah, I agree to a point. Thing is we've not really seen him in intimidator mode yet - if you watched any of his GP2 stuff last year, you'll know he doesn't pass traffic by mistake ;) Not his fault that when he's got in the lead, nobody can catch him! To quote Mick Doohan "What you want me to do, slow down?"

I'm not bowing to his feet or anything, but he's a genuine top level talent and it sickens me that half way through his first stellar season, we've got people wanting him to fall of his perch  He's a good lad, he's not some rich tw*t who got there through more money than talent and he's quantifiably the fastest we've seen since Schumacher (probably quicker, in all honesty) F1 will sour him, no doubt, but I don't wish it on him too quickly...

I dislike James Allen's comentary on him, but then again I hate Allen's commentary on everything! It's about bloody time the British press had an F1 star again and he deserves all the plaudits he's getting.

I've got to jump on this bandwagon...

Just watched the race, or rather put it on in the background while I got some work done. It's bad enough F1 being utterly actionless almost to the point of unwatchability, but James Allen manages to make me want to watch it even less by being an infuraiting pillock!

"If this was a football match, the Hamilton fans would be leaving now. But it isn't a football match; it's a motor race..."

but u see... Hamilton is "BRITISH" and as long as he remains british... the press will keep him right on the top. if he made a wrong statement, they will cover for him. no doubts about it!!
early this year, the F1 magazine had an article about Jenson Button. they said he was the best F1 driver in 2006. they claim that because, he was the only driver to complete the last 6 races in 2006. that shows consistency (schumacher and alonso werent  )

You mean crash them off the track?!
The commentary/hype is really putting me off Hamilton but if there was one good thing about today, it was that the Cheating GermanTM wasn't mentioned nor was his kettle face hanging around the paddock like a whore at a sailors convention.

On form? By overtaking no one and winning in the fastest car?
Ferrari - we have a vito over any FIA rule - are on form (sadly!).

All the podium finishers led the race and none of them over took each other. It's back to pit tactics again. :(

me and McApe chatted about this last night - what they need to do is sign up the LOTRDC race for the support act. Turn our show into a 1 hour extravaganza where we can demonstrate how kak we are in comparision, what happens if you take the wrong lines, and how we can take corners like Copse flat in 7th, get sideways crash etc the rest of the programme would be a 30minute f1 highlights package.

Can't believe Bernie hasn't thought of that yet

There was confusion in Formula 1 this week following the appearance of a mysterious new British driver in last Sunday’s French Grand Prix. Calling himself “Jenson Buttonâ€

I think its comedy that the British press are labelling Hamilton’s 3rd place/9th podium as a disaster and failure by him

G, I'm really not sure what goes on in your head sometimes...

The best thing that young Mr Hamilton has done for F1 is bring back discussions like this.

Can any of you really say you gave a rat's ass about F1 a year or so back? If you did, you're a dedicated soul and I take my hat off to you.

F1 was without doubt one of the most pointless processional exercises ever to grace our TV's in the past few years.

Drivers like Hamilton and the changes in F1 have opened it back up, and hey look - we're watching again.

Media or no media, press sham or no press sham, the sport is alive again and I for one am only watching it because of supporting the new boy. I think he's doing bloody brilliantly and I think it's fantastic he has the support of so many people, and the obvious admiration of his dedicated father.

Lewis is already a role model and he will be the Tiger Woods of F1 by the end of the season....

Go Lewis!! :D :drive
