will the s2 111s leak with hard or soft top?

Mine doesn't leak at all with either roof but the hard top causes a gap in the trailing edge of the windows. This can be fixed by adjusting them but I've never bothered since I never have the HT on.

I only have a soft top and have never had a problem.

The only major leak I've had was from the windscreen frame, so that's nothing to do with the soft top. The only other minor leak I've had is a little bit of water coming in the driver's door window, but I think it just needs raised up a wee bit. Generally no problem at all.

Don't have a hard top, so can't comment.

Why buy a second hand car from a dealer? Why not buy straight from the punter who is just about to sell it to them? That way you both get a good deal and you get the car you were going to buy anyway.

You have already owned an elise, and are up to date on what to look for.

It will be a buyers market very soon, if it isn't already. Just ask Ed or J Kelly.

Do not let your heart rule your head and I am sure if your are paitent you will pick up an absolute bargain.

I wasn't meaning *buy* it from MMC. I meant just to use them for a wee test drive as they're bound to have 111Rs in stock. Once you're hooked on the 2nd camshaft

you can then go and source a decent private sale!

What about Derek's chrome orange one? It looks very cool!

I believe the PTP was sold by the time you got to Murrays Craig, did you fancy anything else.
As I thought might happen by going down to have a look I ended up shaking Grahams hand for a deal on an '06 111r

. The Magnetic Blue one with the black wheels.
Taken my 51 plate S2 in exchange, will be sad to see it go

but the 111r is fantastic
