The Audi is in the lead!
i'm going to test drive them all first, so the GTI might make a comeback (if i can get the full leather! 8) )

One of my ex's had a A3 2.0TDI Sport. I would buy one. Really nice to drive.

They look the dogs in S-line with big A6 rims.

A3 - £167 per month
GTI - £178 per month

...Not a huge difference

Id expect that the A3 will be less thirsty than the GTI as I need to shell out on fuel
Ross can you calculate the company car tax on any car?? I currently have a Civic Type R company car and I hate to think what it is actually cosing me a month - I also get taxed on the fuel benefit as I have a company petrol card.

do you have a link to a website so I can calculate this??

I had an A3 petrol turbo a few years ago and hated it, only front wheel drive, you couldn't keep the front wheels in contact with the road, nice engine sh*t handling, quality was a bit pish aswell, my rear wiper kept sticking onwhen driving through traffic on a dry day, and it often struggled to start, some times just a coupleof cyclinders would run for a few minutes. I have just got a BMW 120d sport(but not the M sport) seems okay, and the back definately steps out, quick (ish) if you remember the power bad is on 2 revs long, it's a company car and it's okay for tax, not much else to say, non of the choices are exciting, but that's what happens when you have an Elise, most other cars are dull. I use the BMW for work and when we want to carry the mountain bikes, but any other time, the Elise is the first choice.
