Indeedy. First lesson was wear a full face helmet!
A few years ago during the cold winters, the outdoor karting place at Cambuslang put spiked tyres on their karts for ice karting. It was really great fun... pity it was only the rears they put the spiked tyres on, necessitating some extreme positioning on the kart to get them turned in.
I'm off 911 ice driving in Sweden in Feb. Can't wait.

Four days skiing too. Can't wait. Doing the driving first though just in case I break something skiing as I have aspirations beyond my ability.

Just uploaded a second vid from Oulton in October.

Shows the fun of a drying track. I'm still learning the car and learnt more in these sessions than any time before.
1.28 for slippy slippy.

It was pretty slidey at that bit.
Small clip below with Stu's V6 and a similar slippy moment, (self induced) at 1:26.

I also had a bit of a moment at the top of Clay Hill which took me a little by surprise, thankfully it wasn't much but at that location and speed it was a slightly disconcerting.
2:08m in the video.

Ooft, twitching over the top of clay hill.
Very smooth D, looks rapid!

Sounds completely different to yours and yours looks faster and slightly stiffer, more bouncing in the car.
The Clay Hill twitch looks like nothing on the video but it wouldn't have had to have moved much further to be pretty messy. Made me lift every time from then on.
How's your rebuild coming along?

P.S. Is that an SC? It sounds like it - but I thought you had a 111s?

I think I did a cool down and came in for a rest, calm down.
See what happens when you miss out on a few trackdays.

I was originally looking at 111S's but a 2004 111R with factory supercharger came up at a good price back in July 2014 and I went for it. Goes OK too, keeps up with Mike's 260? Elise.
It now sports some natty orange stripes too.
