Awesome. Coincidentally I was dribbling over one in a client's garage recently. Said he needs a trailer when it comes out as he can't negotiate the speed bumps in his street! :)

There is a Ultima GTR in Newtyle. I think it belongs to the Newtyle Garage owner.

That looks awesome. I remember passing one a couple of years ago when visiting a friend, they have a LOT of road presence.

Actually, he lives relatively close to the factory, we stopped in the Morrisons in front of it for some lunch Maybe you need to plan a Hinckley visit so you can go to that Morrisons too :blackeye

Definitely got a lot of road presence. I was like Moses parting the Red Sea coming up the M6 as everyone scattered. It really has a WTF look about it. The engine just sounds "big" and gruff. It doesn't rip and bark and snarl at you like the Vantage and certainly doesn't scream and howl like the Ferrari. The silencers on each side are huge and have recently been repacked so it could do a track day at Silverstone and I am am told by everyone it should get much louder quite soon.. Which would be nice. :)

Lol. I can imagine what that looks in the rear view mirror. Must've been a few people thinking they were seeing things or it had jumped a worm hole from Le Mans!

Does the black one that used to run around KH still come out to play?

Top work, think you could launch the microlight with it?

I think the black on at KH was owned by Carlo from TopGear Cars and think he sold it. Funnily enough I have had contact from 4 owner / builders in Scotland already so maybe there are loads of them out there :)

There was a black one , but it spontaneously combusted at a KH trackday.
The passenger/girlfriend of the owner was a former Miss Scotland and very easy on the eye

Yeah, that wasn't Carlos one, sure he'd gladly date a Miss Scotland given the chance though :thumbsup

Any videos on the interwebs of this car in action with previous owners? Assuming of course that its present keeper hasn't found a closed road and a GoPro yet...

Carlo did have a black one - sold it - too unreliable from memory and always broken. The flames that shot out the back though were absolutely epic. Could only stay behind it for a few laps in the Atom before we became sick!!

Well... I did wash it today!!

Builder / 1st owner was in touch to explain the colour scheme. Apparently it used to be red but he forgot to fasten the catches to secure the rear clam one day and he said it made an effective high speed air brake... until it came off and landed under a lorry :) He said the new clam was never the right shade of red so he had it all professionally painted for the hell of it.

It also originally had a short block chevy engine but he said it was so loud in the cabin that he used to wear ear plugs which helped. Unfortunately he said it didn't help him hear the increasing tappety noises that the engine was making just before it self destructed, hence the change to the more modern and powerful LS engine.

One of the previous owners on PH was in touch to say he had great fun driving in the dark because he said that the position of the wing mirrors meant could actually see the jets of flame out of the exhausts!!

Don't know of any video and only found a coupe of pics of one owner driving it at LeMans.

Think I will go wash it again :blackeye
