Hopefully the damage is minimal/during winter.
Pathetic I know, new experience for me, not exactly panic, but when I lost the group leaving from Zolder to the Ferry, I had to turn around and go back to the hotel so that Robin could point me in the right direction and put the route in my 10 year old SatNav, which is about as reliable as a pair of my socks.

Understandable. Group driving can bring a new psychology, for me also.

For the speed (rather than totting up) it is 1 to 12 months ban for more than 30mph over the limit, previous offences will influence the length of the ban but I would guess the speed and (unfairly) type of car would suggest it isn't going to be at the lower end of the scale.
Sorry but that is nonscence, I got done for 92 in a 60 after speedfest 2 years ago in the Evora, 4 points and £265 fine so that rule is not hard and fast.

I got 4 points and 175 fine for exactly the same offence - had been expecting far worse!

109 in a 60 got me into a few papers and a TV news too. Got a 12 months ban and the extended re-test. The points will be cleared to zero when you pass the re-test. I have a feeling its better to get the points on now before you lose the license....

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.

What I was thinking, although it may affect the charges in court, viewing it as a repeat offender.

Lay it on thick with your letter and I hope they take it into consideration.

Tut,

Guess the biggest concern will be a re-test? Without being rude, not sure you would fair to well in the test!

Wondered if folk would consider jail term in exchange for months of the ban, so say 1 week jail = 3 months ban?

No response from Shug.... we'll have to assume he's still rolling around on the floor, laughing uncontrollably. :)

Very sorry to hear your news, Tut. Best of luck!

Unfortunately there was also a happening 20 mins before which is not postable, but the team on Spazz know the details.

Peterhead has a brand new prison.

Tut, I sincerely hope that you only get a fine, a small ban and re-sit at worst, but I fear for you (and Verian) in what could happen once the final incident comes to their attention and they look at your recent speeding history.

Good luck Tut.

Steve.

Best of luck Tut.

I know you'll keep fighting so stick in.

The system is stacked against us and speed in itself is not the be all and end all of road safety, we've all seen scary stuff on the roads that could kill people taking place within the speed limit.

Cheers Malcolm, we all know rule number one, don't get caught. I did so I accept the consequences, just a case of minimising them as much as possible.

I suppose I/we have maybe got a bit complacent about there being very little danger of Scam Vans etc being on those back roads, but it seems that was one of the patrol cars favourite spots for getting bikers. The writing was on the wall when we saw a Van on the Lecht, fortunately on the other side of the road or we would have all been taken by surprise.
