Went out for the S_E curry last night Chris, and Robin and Katie stayed the night with us.
Sat down now with a G&T to watch the recording of the F1. Up yesterday at 0430, four hours on track, six hours travelling, then drinks at home before and after the curry, and a few beers there to keep cool.
Great night with lots of crack, but a gang up on N3 calling it a bag of nails, water off a ducks back as I just wave as I pass 'em.
At 0500 yesterday morning I was at Mintlaw roundabout as a patrol car was leaving the Station in the opposite direction, thought I saw him going right round, then shortly after the blues came on. A bit mystified as I was doing 30, but I had no rear lights. Pushed the button in and out a few times and they came on, but then the car would not start. Went to get out but could not undo my seat belt, so he brought a torch over to help out as it was very dark. Turned out that I had the release back to front. Got out to hook up the jump cable to act as an earth lead, and for the first time ever it did not work.
Fortunately he was a big lad and gave me a push start. Apologised profusely, but he just laughed and said that it made an interesting change to the start of his day, and that we had a good result.
Cops at their best.
