Hi Chaps,

The track has been designed with drift in mind. Us weird drifters call non drift grip or track days to you guys. :D

Anyway as said we are running our first Track night on the 18th of July. Its is limited to 20 cars and will be open pit. with around 5-8 cars on track at once. It really will be a test day to see what suits the track guys needs. The track has been designed to run both ways and we will be using the longest layout which is around 850m long.

We are interested in holing any kind of events we can use the track for. This is a big investment however it is only phase one of the plans, but it all depends on support from everyone.

If you guys wanted to hold a private event we can work that out no issue. Drop me a pm or FB message.

If you have any other questions , please ask and i will answer them the best i can.

Jeek

jeek wrote:Hi, Im jeek i was the driver of the Gold BMW firstly i apologise if my or the other 535's driving annoyed anyone! The multi colour BMW didnt look as bad as that the bumper and wing damage came from his brush with the tyre wall! His lock up was due to his suspension being set way to hard so his brakes were like a switch off or locked up! with no inbeween. I know it looks tatty but we have spent alot of time gettig the body work ready for paint.(luckily after the crash he only need a bumper and wing) I know it could be off putting with a tatty car like that but i dont thin ayone has an actual complaint about his driving bar the one off.

The only time i had a moment was when i tried to follow one of you guys into duffus at the same speed :D Bad idea as my car is twice the weight and half the grip!

After the first session i was aksed by Ian Forrest not to drift the track which i stopped doing apart from a few little powerovers. then one of the other guys there said i could drift as long as i used my discresion. Thats why i was always on the right letting everyone past so i could have a bit of clear track to do a big skid on!

Anyway im not here to start a fight just wanted to clear up a few things!

Cheers for an aweome day and i hope we will be allowed back! :thumbsup :thumbsup

Not sure about trackdays it looks like you would be cheaper to find a big roundabout to fly round for a few hours.

For drifting it looks awesome - will need to go and watch sometime. Looks a great setup.

Each to their own.

Personally I think any track starting up in Scotland deserves my support, and there are potential plans for expansion if all goes well (up to 2.1 miles!)

Yep, I only heard about the place a couple months ago through my brother, but anything like this being built these days is a good thing, i've only had a chance to get the car out on track at Knockhill and a couple kart tracks so another relatively handy option is nice!
Doesn't really (IMO) look a big/ long enough track to stretch the legs of some of the more serious cars that turn up at knockhill but reckon it should be plenty fun in the elise.
I guess it's been designed primarily as a drift circuit but no reason it can't turn out to be a fun track in general!

i think they had one coming up this month actually.

Track is currently only about 0.8m long, but you'd "love" some of the corners Dom :damnfunny

I wondered whether the layout might work better for a sprint day like those we used to do at ingliston. One car on the track at once with a timed run. It means a variety of routes though corners could be set out with cones to add additional length and complexity. :)

Yup, I was thinking it would work as a sprint track too. :thumbsup

Looks like a great place to learn how to handle your car properly for those of us who aren't that great.
