Jen met you briefly I am sure, but not met Alan, but think best case, or think worst case, and you'll be so relieved when the surgeons do a stellar job, and he's back sorting out your ensuite in a few weeks!

Sorry to hear the news Jen.

Like a few others have said. It's amazing what the surgeons can do. When I was young, I put my hand through a window (girls toilet!)I lost a lot of blood and did a lot of damage to tendons and veins etc and lost use of my right hand for several months. I now have full use of my hands and suffer very little ill effects from it. Apart from a cool scar!
