It's just that paint adhere to a clean surface better.

Mine looks like a slice of swiss cheese where the SS bolts have reacted with the ali. Should do something about it but CBA

Have you checked the state of the bolts? Mine took an hour or so to get out....
The inventor of rawl-nuts should hane one inserted into him, lets see if he can get it out after a week....
