it's too expensive.

but like the Europa it will find it's true value after a few years in the 2nd hand market and start to look interesting. So when they are really old and sheddy I will look at them more :D

If your spending 911 money you spend it on a 911

I realise I am probably in the minority here, but if I had 911 money the last thing I would want is a 911 - they simply don't push my buttons. :?
At that price I would have an Evora but I do wonder how much more you need to spend to get a decent spec.

The timing of the launch is unfortunate if it had been 2 years ago I reckon they would have had high demand and probably at a higher price than they have pitched it now.

Sorry, but a car built by Turnip farmers or a 911?

Its got to be sub £50k to be successful.

Also, would be personally concerned with the depreciation on a £60k Lotus :(
I agree with that man!
Still got a deposit on an Espirit ?

PS Porsche dont care any more or need the money now they work in the stock market :)

MMC already have 28 firm orders in place and 70 odd serious notes of interest so it should outsell the Europa, if it hasn't done so already.

A £25k-£30k 2+2 a few years down years down the line would be a tempting ownership proposition.

Maybe not that low, but have to agree that in todays market place it is going to take a massive drop in resale value as soon as you have bought it.

If there is no shortage of supply then it is inevitable.

I'm coming round to the Evora and think it fit's in well with the Lotus stable. Ok its going to be at leased £52k otr. Lotus are very good at being able to build cars on demand and not have old runways filled with new unsold stock.

It will sell better than the Europa( i am sure they will pull the plug in it).

Still think I would buy a gayman S or a year old 4s with £50K

A lot does change in 6 years, I still own an old S1, still can't afford an Evora, and still wonder where the heck do the people go in the back...

Now owning a 2+2 (944) I actually wonder that even more since I can't fit my 1.75 year old in that and it looks more spacial than the Evora. That said, the extended rear facing child seat does have a lot to answer for.

When they get to boosters or beyond seats altogether, it'll be perfect. Trust me :-)
