Why do you need to be wealthy to move elsewhere?

Move house, get job elsewhere...........and that's it.

Maybe he's in negative equity like a lot of people circa 30 that I speak to (never discussed in the media that I've noted).

People seem to think everything will change overnight, that's wrong, it'll be a slow and gradual change.

Is that not partly due to the yes campaign all but promising free unicorns to everyone post indy?

I'm all up for trying new things and being positive but why do we need to break away to exact change. We have the power to do that just now. It's our vote.

Nail on the head Donkey :thumbsup

If we had seen improvements and advances in the areas that are already devolved then Independence would be guaranteed but there has been little or no improvement so far so why should we believe Independence will be a positive move.

Post devolution primary schools have a worse pupil to staff ratio and we've spent more outsourcing bits of the NHS. Go team!

On Radio 5 Live today they were visiting Schools and asking the Heads about the A Level results.

In one School there were 72 languages spoken, and 92% of the pupils did not speak English as their first language. However they spoke one more than most of us do.

Who says that we are not Multicultural?

Absolutely agree, this has/will create bad feelings between both factions whatever the outcome.

This is one of the main reasons I am not for it, it's creating yet more division in what is a relatively small already divided (more so in some places) country. Surely we could have put all this energy (and money) into doing good. Like improving poverty in our own towns and cities or help those with illnesses that don't get much support?!

Instead of concentrating on our differences lets concentrate on and improve our similarities!
I have had enough

i'm sick of folk telling me should fcuk off to England unless i am voting YES

Now starting to seriously consider a YES vote followed by fcuk off to england

A large part of scotland does not want me here as i am a tory traitor

What happens to the Bank interest rate if we split?

It has been sitting at 0.5% for years now, good for mortgages and inflation, but I suppose Scotland would be able to set any rate that it wanted to.

I have learnt that as a NO voter i must be positive

So i shall give a positive message about interest rates after the spilt

For borrowing it will be 0.1%

For saving it will be 99%

Very positive

And completely impossible

Yes, I am saying I believe Westminster politicians to be of a better standard and that's the basic point. All a Yes vote does is substitute one group of elected idiots for a group of (IMO) lesser quality elected idiots - these are the people in whom we place our trust.

Nope.
you need to look no further than the halfwits 'running' aberdeen to see that youre right there! if there were great political minds in scotland we'd be seeing them in westminister... and yes, im trying to forget Gordon Brown was prime minister.

The then perpetual Tory government at Westminster would dictate our fiscal and monetary policy, so it would be out of our hands and whatever suited their agenda. That's what a currency union is, the 'desirable and logical' option that Salmond is going to negotiate for us.

That's well observed, the media has a SE (South East - no Scottish Elises) bias and they are having a housing boom. Thus they know no-one with negative equity....

Sorry are you guys saying that one of the reasons for voting No is because you think English people are smarter than Scottish people?

Aw shucks, you're lovely to me!
