If you are interested then the guy to speak to is Graeme Shepherd on 01314755000 (Graeme.Shepherd@porscheedinburgh.co.uk).

However don't wait too long as suspect it will go very fast (know of at least 1 S/Eliser who was enquiring)

Mates dad picked this car up I found out the other day.

That car used to belong to a good friend, who had all the modifications done to it. Was incredibly clean last time I saw it and went like a bat out of hell, nice to see its still local.

And I'm not alone here for having had first hand experience of the excellent service supplied by this dealer :thumbsup

I stopped off to look at this on the way home today. It looks really nice in the showroom and the paint has a nice gloss to it but the front bumper needs painting, theres a small crease in the rear drivers side wing with 2 quite deep scratches and the wheels have been refurbed but not in the original anniversary clour. I didn`t bother looking down the passenger side. The interior looked well cared for though.

It was a brilliant car and very capable and quick but it just didn't put a smile on my face in the same way the Exige did. It was just a bit too refined and too easy to drive quickly; it just didn't satisfy in the right ways for me. The 993 puts that smile on my face. It needs to be (for want of a better word) 'properly' driven, there are no electronic aids (save ABS) and the feed back through the wheel and your backside is much more akin to the Exige. The car is quick and now I've updated the suspension the handling is excellent. Ahh, oh yes, the sound! That is one thing thats hard to beat!

A few specs on the car: '96 Guards Red 993 Carerra C2, HB seats, RS steering wheel, front turbo PU, Bilstein HD's, H&R sport springs, M030 front and rear anti roll bars, HID headlights, RS engine mounts, Motor Sound Pack, Dansk mufflers, Dansk cat bypass, Wayne Re -map 305bhp, 18" Turbo Hollow Spokes on AD08 rubber

:cheers

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.

Definitely up for this but will have to check the diary :thumbsup

964 is into Motortune next week to get the ride height sorted with associated geo (RS level of course) as the new suspension was set way too low by the Porsche specialist who fitted it

So not sure which vehicle we will take but edging towards the Spyder for a Borders run.

Great George.

It seems that 12th may work better for some SEers.

May be we could start the run from say about 11am, have a small run, stop for lunch and then continue.

I will work out the route.

If Interested please add your name.

While having a look at what's on at Mondello Park, I happened to notice their take on the demographic the Boxster S appeals to...

Does that mean you will have more success pulling a female if you have a Boxster though?

If that's the case, things don't bode well for 911 owners... :P
