They both look lovely. I bet with the weather getting colder the opportunities to curl up together are getting more frequent :)

Sadly, on 24/11/14, we had to say goodbye to our beloved greyhound Meg.

We'd had seven wonderful years together. I swear, not a single day went by when that dog didn't do something to make me laugh out loud. She helped us through some real lows and she shared the good times too. It was an absolute privilege to have her as our best pal.

So, after a difficult couple of weeks with a very empty house, we went to meet another deserving doggie at the SSPCA in Thurso and Breezer came home with us.

Breezer is a 4 year old lurcher who had been with the SSPCA for two months.

She appears to be happy in her new home and we think she's decided to stay.

We have some minor issues (like wanting to fight all other dogs) but nothing a wee bit of time and effort won't be able to fix. Image

All you need is a field full of rabbits :-)

Love the face - looks slightly eccentric and bags of fun ...

Cheers,
Robin

You love them and you lose them Eric, normally on a ten year cycle with our GSD's.

You get another pup and gradually he morphs into your last love, but it takes a long time to get over it. Lord knows why we keep going through with it, forty years for me now, but could not imagine life without Khan and Zara cuddled up together in front of the fire, and their joy when ever anybody walks through the front door.

Sorry to hear about Meg: only met her the once but seemed a great dog. Congratulations on the new arrival. Always nice to see a rescue dog re-homed.

I'll second that Eric. So sorry about Meg, but you gave her a fantastic life.

New girl is gorgeous and will win your hearts in her own little ways :thumbsup

Sorry to hear about Meg Eric,

Im sure breezer will give you many great memories in years to come.

Claire and I took the dogs out for a run up at the lecht yesterday, and i actually took my camera with me for once!!

1st of all i should introduce Arya, we got her back in june/july when i got out of hospital, seeing as i was going to be at home for a few months, that meant there was plenty of time for puppy training (interesting in a wheelchair!) Also, with Alfie being 6, we thought it was a good time to introduce a new pup to keep him on his toes and he could help keep her in check!

this is when we got her...

Here she is terrorising Alfie yesterday!

It was so nice to be out walking the dogs and enjoying the countryside again!

I'm really looking forwards to getting out more this year, with claire, the dogs and just enjoying life!

Folks,

New series of Supervet starts tonight on Channel 4 at 8pm.
http://www.radiotimes.com/episode/dgrzh ... -episode-1

If you have not seen it before then its great viewing seeing a vet working at the very cutting edge of repairing sick animals. Will warn you that you may need a set of tissues if you are a pet owner.
