Tut,

I'd suggest one of him behind the wheel - that's the Brian we know rather than the internaional playboy ;)

I did wonder that also but did think it would be nice if you could make out that it is Brian. Unfortunately I don't really have any that fit the bill but these are my favourites which you are more than welcome to use if deemed appropriate.

We will be having another cup presentation in memory of Brian at TT on June 18th, the first Category was easy, but we need to select the next one.

Happy for any suggestions.

is the best dressed trophy still being passed around at different events?

how about a vote for the biggest gentleman of the day, everyone gets to make a nomination

things to make you choose would be, quick to move over on track. lets you overtake on the road run, takes people out pax, generally being a good person and making the whole experience as enjoyable as possible for everyone.

Good suggestion, however Brian never did the "running in groups" scene. If he spotted a group of cars on the road coming behind he either got a move on or pulled over and let the whole group past.

But I am liking the suggestion of an award for being the most courtious (that way it's not discriminating)

Caterham 7 - hillclimb spec

Rather than this thread making me sad I just recall the truly excellent obituary that was posted up recalling Brian's Opera cape. Some boy.

brian seemed to always have alot of fun on and around the track... and shared that with people, often quietly.

so an award for something along the lines of being a "role model" for enjoying the event and helping to spread the enjoyment to others?

a very hard one to judge, as could be confused with being popular, but an apt one?

as for a name for it? hmmm

Thanks Sanjoy, I had not read that before.

TT will follow the same path as the first Memorial event. We will select the category, the winner will receive the main cup and his/her name will be engraved on it, and they will receive a smaller engraved cup to keep with the big one staying at Knockhill.

I will shortly arrange for new engraved name plates for Ed.
