I'm not interested in getting my post count up - you'd have to be pretty sad to bother about that.

However, the word association game can be a bit of a laugh if you have a look when you pop-in.

I did follow it religiously up to page 100 and something, but I no longer read bits I've missed, and just go to the current page.

Keep it till it dies a natural death.

I think it should be locked off, it has dragged on a bit, I don't know how many times Jade Goody has been mentioned. I am getting bored of it now even though I do check it and frequently contribute.

keep the sleepy barstewards though as it's still funny

name games are only a good laugh if they are kept current and folk are banned for repeating words.

You know mac, I'm coming round to your way of thinking.

Perhaps it should be locked, and we could start a new one to keep it current, and reduce the chances of repetition.

Genie game is where you make a wish... next poster grants it with a twist and makes their own wish... and so on. It's another never ending post whoring game.

ie,

I wish I didn't have thick bum hair.

Granted, it has been shaved off by Tambo who violated you while in the process.

I wish it was better weather so I could take the liz out...

etc etc...

(legal note: I was not implying that Tambo would violate anyone... obviously he would gain permission 1st).
I have no signature.

Never read it myself. Cull it if you wish. Last thing we need is to arrange funding to pay for a server - no doubt heaps of adverts.

it is quite funny when you peep in every now and again for a chuckle...how can it be a bad thing?? Forums are about democracy - lets enjoy it!! If it helps our camaraderie then let it thrive

Quoted for truth, I agree the WAT is utterly pointless drivel but as long as we keep the drivel to a few select threads then where's the harm?

If we start getting anal about these things then people can feel reluctant to post, especially noobs, not everyone is going to have Robinlike technical knowledge. Its good to have the drivel threads, on small local forums like this its creates good banter. Its nice to have that relaxed feel good vibe, you can see it at meets when two folk have never met each other can strike up chat instantly because the forum has been a nice place to be.

Bin the thread by all means but lets not get uptight about the occasional nonsense threads :D

well...

the results are in...

a 44% success rate in the poll shows, in my opinion, a very successful thread!! :thumbsup

Half of the threads i dont even open up and im as fanatical as the rest of you....

Nice work..!!

PS the psychology behind peoples next word is the interesting bit for me!!
Some of the entries are downright hilarious too!!

Bandwidth is a pretty lame excuse to kill it. Cant imagine it doing much harm - but I'll let mr Ironside say if that's the case or not.

It's doing nothing wrong IMHO, if you don't want to read it, just read everything in general you want and click on 'mark all topics read'

If SE juniors grows to the stage where bandwidth becomes an issue I and I imagine most of the other regular spammers will happily bung a few quid towards the running costs.
