They were useless from salesman, manager and mechanic. I think I got the mechanic sacked. He was useless. Knew nothing about Lotus's.Mr Momo wrote:Explain ?
I went test drive my first Elise @ T&C on the day they were shipping them out ! Bummer.
But then again, I met the MMC crew to compensate and I get to visit Edinburgh more often than before (on my own too !)
Hee Hee
I remember going in and asking if they had any S1 elises for sale...
"Is that the one with the round lights"
WTF!
Their excuse was they were new to Lotus but they should never have opened until they knew their products!

you have no idea the bad name they caused for Lotus.....my god even I as a young pup when I first started here spent countless days and nights just reading and learning product knowlege before taking the hot seat! Well reading and spending as much time as possible questioning Robin, Tut, Campbell and the other original bunch...who sucesfully managed cloaned an SEr out of me!

Hi Phil,
Andy's a nice guy, just need to turn him into a lotus nut like the rest of us now...I'll do my best!
Have fun down at the factory...see if you can manage to blag a few test laps while your down there
After the last day at knockhill with the 240R....I think it tops on everyone christmas list

Tips on how to blag laps at Hethel.
Just as the car goes in for a service mention that the car feels "funny" but it's hard to describe, but it's just not quite right.
They'll get one of their engineers to take you round the track as you try and describe the problem to him (if there isn't a problem make one up like it feels vaugue at time)
They'll take it into the workshop and work on it (your getting a suspension check anyway) and when it comes back out they'll take it round the track again and if your lucky (as I was on my 32nd birthday) they'll ask you if you want a shot to make sure it's been sorted.
Cheers
