I quite fancy going on one. Not sure about the drive down tho. Does he ever do them anywhere closer?

nope - he doesn't need to. His North Weald days are booked out months in advance, so why would he bother going looking for the work?

Robin, Rob & I did one in April. The drive down is a bit tedious but if you're with mates, it has a mini adventure feel and is a great laugh. Think twice about driving home the same night though

:withstupid

Was a great laugh!
Trying to keep up with Robin en route -through the back roads to Newcastle - and Robin, constantly winding me up about my dissappearing coolant and impending explosion of my engine!
Robin- I've done 5,000 miles since then - no explosion or HGF!

Well worth the drive!

Have you checked your radiator? Common S2 fault is a knackered rad leading to coolant loss. Both mine and tankfeet's went around the same time.

Yep - got JPS to have a good look at the last service! I'm not too worried - partly Robin on the wind-up!
The coolant level has been at just below min since I got the car no matter how often you top it up!

AA parts and labour cover has been taken!

Hmmm...Greg's point about not heading straight back is also a good one.
Quite like the idea of debriefing over some refreshments... :beer
