 I fecking luv that car! Cheers for that Greg!

I was sitting in Grand Cru once when a rather loverly GT3 in black pulled up outside. Everyone by the window turned and looked, along with some of the bar staff and a huge group of lads that were over the road. They are real head turners! I then proceed to try and open the boot forgeting it was at the front!

I'm a huge ferrari officianado... but porkers are certainly growing on me. Not sure if its because they are (its all relative mind) a more realistic day to day prospect - 355 belts service costs '000s at even a specialist.

Saw a silver 964 RS on Royal circus this morning and I swear I almost got a semi

the service intervals on the 997 are 20k. First service £353!

Never liked them much till i had one in Germany for the weekend - awesome bit of kit, but very everyday rather than special occassion.

Exceptions are obviously the Gt derivatives

Nice car but not 140ks worth in my opinion. could spend 140k on better things.
This would do fine, and could have an S1 with the change

Not quite so in your face as the "original" GT2 though eh.

911's are engineering masterpieces, IMHO. A lot of the mainstream ones may no longer turn heads, for sure, but I agree that a clean GT3 of any era will turn a head or two...and particularly if those heads are in the know. And that's what matters.

I used to really want a Ferrari...and I still wouldn't push one out of bed for farting...but if you offered me £70k to throw at a Ferrari or a Porsche, I'd arrange a GT3 every time. My "Ferrari" days have been spent as a Lotus owner...my supercar will be reliable ;-)

Dave,

It did actually cross my mind...might have crashed with my Dad (Carnoustie) however a pass is a hard-earned commodity these days and I plan to save those for driving ;-)

Have a good one though.
