if nothing else they are less (not infalible) but pretty much safe from virus attack, and as has been said unless you aim to use it for running lots of different software packages (that arent MAC compatible) then it is sweet.
Bundled with everything you could need, everything that you plug in again 'just works' and the Core Duo iMAC we have with 21" monitor is amazing for all the home stuff.
Had ours about 8 months now and it is a pleasure indeed! Was down at Channel Expo computer trade show exhibiting last week, we had a stand opposite Microsoft and even the MS guys were saying leave Vista alone for a bit, with rumours that Toshiba Graphics cards were melting onto the motherboards under intense usage from Vista. (Same goes for anything new, leave it for a bit as it is the early adoptors that pay the price!)
Lastly, Vista is from what i saw like using Tiger operating system for the MAC, MAC are now one step ahead of them again with a revised OS (i think called Leopard) which is heading to be one step ahead of Vista already!
