Ask him why he wants a right hand drive van for use in Denmark. You could tell him that you still have the snow tyres on as its permanently snowy in scotland - and that he would have to fit Continental tyres for use on the continent.

Anyway, do they have a shortage of vans over there or something?

I doubt very much that he is in Denmark. Africa maybe. But even a welsh person wouldnt have such a bad grasp of the lingo.

Off to wind him up some more, will post back later

JJ... I think he's genuine... I mean, his Dad is from Wales so that explains the shocking English.

The poor guy probably thought he was making good progress in the language and then he calls his dad (who must be his shipping agent surely), and he is then all confused with the language again....

Makes sense, Boyo.

You'd think if they were using it as a 'standard letter' they would at least make it readable!

I've just had in the last couple of days one of those emails asking if you can help in the transfer of £10million, from dormant bank account etc, I'm sure you al know the type I mean.

Well inspired by this thread and some of the links on it, I replied to the guy saying I was "honoured" he had chosen me, and to send me more details.

So he did, asking for more details from me, Age, Address, Phone number, bank details etc, so I sent him this last night. :D
Dear Peter,

Thankyou for thy kind reply.

I am hastening the facility of a bank account that will be sustainable and accountable.

My legal solicitor has told my lawyer about this and he is happy to keep me correct, as I am an accountant and English teecher.

My address is, Number 23, Block D, Hmp Barlinne, Glasgow, England.

My phone is not working at the present time, and my fax is broken.

I am a man, my age is 67.

I am from Kosovo, My nationalitie is Spanish. My mother was from Turkey and my father was Greek. They are both ded now.

I am a accountant and English teecher.

I am very flattered by your kind offer of 40% of your money, but that is too much.
I will only take 39%. Thankyou.

Please contact me by email if you need to talk morer.

Wishing you and your family all the peace and good things you deserve.

Your friend

James
Obviouslly my name is not James (random made up, to go with a spurious email address) and I don't live in Barlinne, or even Barlinnie. And none of the other things are true!

Do you think I'll have put him off?
