and i was thinking you were a posh git with a carpet in your garage! :D

no offence to any posh gits out there :?
I went to get concrete paint for my garage floor and discovered it was a lot cheaper to buy a new carpet (albiet a cheap one) Had to wait 5 months for delivery of my S2 and the garage was sitting carpeted all ready for it  Carpet still in good nick with a few oil stains from the bikes but great for working on them in the cold.

Poundland in Motherwell had some rather smart, small yellow S1s

Does the carpet not go musty if you drive a wet car onto it? :?

I used to take the tyres off at the doorstep

No real problem with musty carpet. It was cheap carpet only costing £0.99 sq yard or something like that and has worn fine. Easy to vacuum every now and then and at that price its virtually a disposable floor covering. Helps stop the dust you get with a concrete floor. It was in a carpet shop next to a B&Q store. After seeing the price of concrete paint in B&Q I had a look around the carpet shop and got plain grey ribbed carpet for less than £20

The first pic was taken on the seat of an Ikea computer chair although I'm sure that the carpet at 99p sq/m does the same job if you fancy that kind of thing in your garage! Certainly would keep our neighbours amused if I was to take to hoovering the garage floor! They'd think I'd gone bonkers!
