Nice car.. and it works well in red, but I want a bit of ....dare I say it.. "peace of mind".. .It's my first new (ish.. ex-demo) Lotus and it's been looked after. I've had my fill of tinkering on the Liz in the past, and I must have paid for it more than twice..
This one is going to be left the way it is.
For those that don't know (only SE dinosaurs will, in fact!), Cowan had some "gremlins" with his mildly modded S1 prior to Hondafying it, so I agree matey, a factory-finished example is just what the doctor ordered!
Oh and it looks the dogs' in that colour, well done.

It's Cowan here, a few of you know me.. The guy who sold his LHD Honda'd S1 to Tut recently..
Changed my name to "The Hoff"... anyway.. moving swiftly on..
Since selling my pride and joy to Tut.. which was painfull ,I've just (1 hour ago...) secured the purchase of my new "friend"
See link..

The deal I got was too good to pass up..
It even has proper window winders as well.. which you can't get now apparently.. and it was specced up the way I wanted it + the colour works well.
It's only 5 months old..
Can't wait!!
cheers,
Cowan

Did you deal with Tony Abrams?

Well that's got me confused... I'm sure I remember a Hexham Horseless Carriages being in Hexham
way before then

Wrong - you might be thinking of Harrogate Horseless Carriages
Tony opened Hexham late '96 AFAIK

Yes... but Harrogate Horseless were never in Hexham under that name...? Used to work with a guy who commuted from Carlisle to Newcastle in 1990 in his 420/450 SEAC - was sure he got it in Hexham

Who was the TVR dealer in Hexham in the early 90s then? Or have I had another brain fart?
Guess I've got my wires crossed. Making my head hurt now, so I'll stop

His son didn't work there in 97 - although I got the Griff serviced there every year for the 5 years I owned it, always dealt with Tony or Richard Bright (service Manager), or Richard's dad who was car washer & delivery driver - great bunch to deal with
Oh, and Tony is a true car-nut as well, regularly posts on pistonheads

We've dealty with them for a while now, as my dad used to have a Tuscan which I took over recently (which I need to get rid of as well...). Unbeknown to me ,Richard Bright knows one of my "biker" mates.. small world.. ,
Anyway... as you rightly point out, they are a great bunch to deal with. You know where you stand with them, and I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else quite frankly. I only hope they manage to get through this ordeal with TVR..
