Just cancelled my breakdown repair cover

Usual stuff, rac will give it to me for this etc etc. You also do well if you combine the standard cover with the parts and labour. Worked for me anyway!

I've had it for 3 years and never used it.
Besides, I do my own maintenance, so couldn't provide any full service receipt.

So, useless so far, and for somebody that does his own maintenance.

If I have to make a claim, would they accept the invoices for the oil and filters I've bought?

You do not have to show a full service history, just an invoice showing your last service that conforms with service intervals, and in fact need show no more than oil and filter change. They are not interested in your Elise service book.

Have only needed the AA once and that was cause the alarm decided to fuse and disable the car. I'm keeping the recovery part.

Is it tho? At 10k miles a year with the car on 50k I could easily go another 5 years without it going pop *touches wood* and Dundee spanner monkey's are cheap at fixing K-series.

This is the boat I'm in, I don't really want anyone else doin work on my car if I can help it... unless it's HGF, and I'm just not sure the parts and labour cover is worth it just for that. I just have a lot of faith in the ole standard K-Series I guess.

Course, I might still change my mind again, still have a few weeks before the actual renewal date so I could have it put back on. I'll have a think...
