Dezzy, I'm with Admiral too.
I inquired about fitting a s/s exhaust and a hurricane induction kit. Pointed out to them, I was of course a 40 year old and not a 19yr old chav, and the BHP increase would be minimal.
Once having gone and got advice on what an induction kit was, they came back with £31.27 for both.

With Admiral the mods are not insured, and in the event of a claim they will only replace with standard equipment. Fitted the huricane so far, but haven't told them about it. Chose to tell them about my 3 points instead

If you're with admiral, try getting a new online quote for your car without the mods. Make a note of the quote then go back an add the mods, should be options for non-standard exhaust and filter. When I was with Elephant, I was £30 extra for the exhaust, didn't have the Hurricane then.

play all the tricks dezzy, my favourite is to go into a 'new' quote with admiral or elephant, then add in the exact same vehicle details, and the exact personal details of yours bar your name - you often get different (lower) quotes. Give them a buzz, Robert's your mother's brother - cheap quote!

I was £30 IIRC for filter & Zeege 'zorst

Cheers for the advice guys. Will try that idea with getting a new online quote with the mods and see what it comes out as.

Dezzy £90 sounds like a lot but to be honest if you divide it by the smile / tunnel / underpass factor it's nothing really.

Stay in a night instead of getting lashed and that's you. 8)

Also VXJON will tell there is only so long you can hold out before the loud exhuast boys get you  :o
