I have had a few scary :o moments myself in the wet and would be interested in some driver training.

driver training sure helps with the unexpected - which often comes in the damp conditions. i did the lotus driver training thing.
almost span a few times in the wet - unexpected. (the expected happens on track :D)

1st was off a roundabout - just taking it easy in 3rd - next thing i knew i was pointed at the verge - but got it back.

2nd one was caught on police camera! they said i did well to catch it - hurt me shoulder moving quick tho :P

3rd one was under trees near dunkeld - was like glass! was doing < 30 mph too.

deffo get driver training or get round a corner loads of times and keep spinning - the more i did it the more i got used to how it felt and got quicker at reacting and eventually stopped spinning :D

I don't want to get involved in the politics  , but it would have been good to see Elises there too. Shame.

As Mac will have seen, we had a great time driving various coned courses (and if your neck hadn't been sore, I'd have loaned you my keys, Mac) - a beginners' autotest if you like. Played with my Caterham's handling in a way I probably couldn't commit to on track :thumbsup

If numbers were a problem, I'm sure some of the Jock7-ers would be glad to make up numbers....

No idea how much the paddock cost, but KH supplied cones, a couple marshalls and a hosepipe.

If you have a steering wheel for computer games, download the demo of Grand Prix Legends (GPL).
No substitute for the real thing but it will teach you to be light on the throttle and smooth on the steering inputs.

I promise you that on your first attempt you will not complete a lap without spinning.

Download the demo here http://www.bhmotorsports.com/download/6447

Ok but Lawrence's post suggested it was or maybe on Yahoo but I didn't see it on either.

Give that man a coconut :D It was a thread on ScottishSevens. Borders7 had an event booked at Kh which was undersubscribed, with a day or two to go I suggested they throw it open to us elisers but the bloke organising it didn't want to.

Didn't stop an Mx5 being there though.

Cheers
