When it got really bad (more water than petrol) I changed the HG and did another £20Kish in it before selling it in good running - fully MOT'd - order.
Access was a bit of a PIA but the job was easy enough. Elise should be easier since you can take off the clam and get full access.

Yip if you can remove the rear clam do it, it is a complete arse if you do it with it still on, been there done that got the T-Shirt
