ste (on Seloc etc) is considering selling his highly modded S1. Honda lump just tweaked and rebuilt by Dan Webster at HPE. Memory tells me it gave about 280bhp on the dump but I'd need to check. Seems a very well sorted car - no idea how much he is looking for it though?

You will need to be quick .....and dig deep in your pockets for a good S1.
Provenance is absolutely key .
A friend in the trade had a three owner 99 ....in azure blue with 11k miles.
Sold this week for £19750 after 3 days.
I have an even nicer example of a 111S but it would take a strong offer to make me sell....... Finding them gets more difficult.
I received a trade bid of £18k on mine the day I bought it which suggests a sale price around £21k

I am pleasantly surprised at how much torque the VVC has and it is a great car to drive .....albeit very tail happy in the wet

More miles/owners/modifications is the way to go if you want something cheaper
Forget the market pricing of when you last bought a Lotus.....jump in and enjoy

I am aware of the above Iain, but there are still good ones from reputable suppliers at less than crazy money.

Just missed out yesterday on something a wee bit different, but to a fellow SEer who is a decent chap so not so bad :D

I'm not looking for a garage queen so happy to go for higher miles, oh, and I've never actually had a Lotus, in the strictest terms :blackeye

I might need to ask you for an intelligent valuation some day, Comrade Boag. UJI turns 18 years young on 2nd July :-)

Prob going to sign off an engine refresh and maybe even front clam respray as a present!!

115,000 and still going strong. One careful owner. What an 18 years...
