I don't believe it, this is the very first time my wife has shown any interest in any of my Lotus's.
She's also not sure about the Saltire, but she goes along with Dickson to a point. She likes the idea of Red mirrors but thinks the winglets should have a red Lion rampant on a yellow back ground with a red pinstripe around the outside.
mmmmm starting to wish I'd left it as it is

Darker blue might work slightly better or how about just making the rear spoiler all black and have Scottish Saltire flags beside the front side indicators?
Lion Rampant would look good.
You better hope that Leslie does not buy you car eyelashes

I like the Lion Rampant idea. Red will tie in with the 'S' of Cup S badge...
Alternatively I think a silver and black Saltire would work well with silver mirrors and calipers. A little more subtle option...super stealth! For either a stylised flag (waving in the wind) could look better due to the shape of the wing endplates.
Or even this:

I'm not convinced about silver wheels. Anthracite would work better...

Another one for the Lion rampant idea, think that would look nice and still be patriotic without the immediate political associations....

I was with you on the saltire idea until I saw them in the flesh..... now I'm thinking I might try and get the end plates colour coded to match the rest of my paintwork too.

I'm with Tut, the saltire colours are just not strong/bold/striking enough. I'd leave as is ro do silver to match mirrors et al.

Personally, I don't like the flags at all. I always think they look a little like something a keen tourist would do to their car, along with one of those Aussie road signs with a kangaroo on it in the window and a visit Cheddar Gorge sticker on the back.
Of what everyone has said so far, I think the silver and black Saltire would look best, but I personally couldn't live with being associated with the political conotations that have stolen our national flag

Not sure that displaying the Royal Standard doesn't have political associations!?

overall Im not a fan of my flags on my car tbh... i also dont think the saltire works either. The lion (red / yellow) would work better in my opinion and also you to colour code into those accent colours as you wish. As my car has red stiching inside im pondering adding some red accents else where. or I just leave as is and be happy... then just drive it!

I'll re-phrase it then, with the Lion Rampant your less likely to come back to someone having sharpie'd "AYE" or "NAW" over it
