Yeah, right, nothing to do with keeping a marketing distance from the more expensive Evora 400.... :) Komotec can squeeze a charge cooler in there so surely can't be beyond Lotus.

The Sport 380 does look fantastic though 8)
Komotec don't have to homologate a new car, nor pass crash testing for post-registration mods, nor provide a 3 year pan-Euro warranty.....believe me, it's not quite as easy as it looks...!

The new car is a lovely, lovely thing.....the true performance gap vs 350 is (I'm told) large, and personally I love the new back end.
Graeme,

Any Hethel lap times for it to confirm how big a gap?

from reading the article its £11k more than the 350 Sport, but thats un-optioned??

Whats the tab if you tick all the boxes (exhaust etc)?

1066KG is an epic effort though - pace vs the Exige Cup?

Has to be £80k+ given the number of things that are no longer standard. Maybe 85k with all the carbon tat

I love the idea of an Exige 380 and the performance stats are what I have always wanted from an Exige ... its just the price is out of my league unfortunately  . Elise 2020 looks beautiful, should have the mortgage out of the way by then at least (finger crossed) and a guilt free spending spree is well overdue !

The 380 looks fantastic. I have to say I have never thought the V6 lacked power but I am sure I would after I drove a 380 :-)

I like the new spoiler, I was never 100% convinced of the old one. But an Exige with a hard top as an option (implied by the text)???. Wider front wheels seems like a good move, big long thread on seloc about why Exige she are slower than they should be suggesting that it overheats its front tyres and understeers badly and that wider front tyres would help. Would I drop 68k plus all the options to get it right? Nope. 20+ year old chassis design. It'll be a great car no doubt but I doubt residuals will be strong and there are so many other amazing cars for that kind of coin!

If you add up all the "x seconds quicker" press releases, I think we're into negative laptimes now. :D
