Oh no Graeme... :(

Seriously happy to read you are okay though! but no doubt scary to experience ... as you and others have said just a plastic car that can be replaced unlike your head or body. Happy to hear safety wise things seem to have done their job. I had harnesses on all my previous S1 cars but not so recently on my current S3 cars. Reading your post has been helpful reminder I should sort this.

Twas a stunning wee S1 and heres my last photo of our cars from the Moon lit run couple of months ago. Would you like to stick with anohter S1? I think you need a Cup though over an S1 again :cheers or grab a bargain S3 SC and stick the aero kit on it.

Either way loads of time to decide and a good time of year to buy too

Tut has an S2 now Smee. (Still laughing at the Ali and Tut dialogue over Tuts S1 and S2 from a while ago)

Sorry to hear this Graham although any accident you can walk away from is a good one!

What a bummer, literally! Did you see it happening or was it just a shafting from behind?

Good to hear you got out of it reasonably unscathed, your shoulder and hip ache will probably be down to the harnesses not being done up tight enough and you've been able to move in the seat somewhat, harnesses need to be really tight to function properly. Lose harnesses usually results in collar bone breakage, so it sounds like you got away with it for the best part.
If you need to go even faster, just imagine you are me.

FFS. Excellent that you are OK but totally gutted about the car. That was a stonking good wee car that you had put a fair amount of time and effort into. The engine in it was a belter. Efficient as well. Remember well sweating over the consumption around Lawrencekirk when u were giving me a lift back from CMC after I left the S2 there. Gutted. And there was me moping about Heathrow because I am on my way home to an empty garage. Tip of the day. Buy a lottery ticket as by the sound of things you were lucky to walk away from what happened.

PS. Always thought Audi S3 drivers were suspect......oh hold on.....

Sad to hear this as I had a sneaky nosey round your car last time I was at kh - lovely example.

As has been said tho - main thing is you got out relatively unscathed, and does make me think harnesses are a bit of a necessity in such a car!

Same as everyone else - gutted about the car but glad you're ok.

I know the title suggests you want to stick with the S1 but is it going to get you thinking about other options?
