Great to see Egor back on the road and now with a man's engine. Look forward to seeing it not break down at a track day! :D

Great stuff Robin, I had a drive in Andy's car and the Honda is awesome in an S1.

I think the Donkey may be getting a Honda conversion at some point, it does cut down the racing options though.

Good stuff Robin, hadn't realised it'd been so long since Egor was on the road.

Is the honda kit for the S1 different to the Rover S2? I always thought the rover mechanicals were the same but have been advised otherwise....

If they're different this might be of interest to you Scott?? If the same, step away lol

It really isn't worth the money/effort to go that route unless it's super cheap. Given the vintage of donor cars now, I would suggest buying a running Civic Type R of the one lady owner type and drive it for a month if you can. Then you'll know it's an OK runner (might still fail, but at least it's not bust to start with and not drinking oil, etc.).

The kit I bought wasn't expensive and I suspect the same is true, more or less, whichever route you take.

S2 fitting kit is a little different (shafts, electrics).

If you do go down this route I am trying to pull together an "odds&sods" box that mops up all the little wiring jobs so that you have a proper automotive connector and no relays, etc., to install.

Cheers,
Robin
