Dov's Audi turbo Elise would give it a run for it's money. It's scary fast!

I've always loved this vid. What you can do with unlimited budget. Not sure if it can claim to be the fastest, but I bet it's no slouch!

I would suggest Christians Audi powered JRS Exige is the fastest in a straight line
Jamie's Honda car is the fastest round a cct.

both are well over 600Hp (real, not thundering US pit-ponies)

Bollocks! My k-series elise will be faster than them!

Out of interest, why would Jamie's Honda car be faster around a track than the Audi car? I'm guessing suspension set up?

I don't know what Christian's car is used for, but Jamie's is an out and out race car that is up at the top of the Time Attack Series.

Easy, there's currently not an Audi powered Elise/Exige that's anything like as developed/tested for track times (asides I don't think there are any making that sort of power either bar Christians).

I guess you could build one (like Christian's) and work on it, but there is currently no sequential box for the Audi at these power levels, making it somewhat hard work as the Audi 5 speed is less than ideal (and we also don't know how long it will live for at this power levels).

Jamie's car is a lot more than just a Honda engine, even with modest power, it was still capable of 1:57's round Snett300 on road tyres, and it's aero/suspension/etc have moved on a fair way since then.

Interestingly, 9.48 is not that quick, I have data/vid of Tim Mackie doing a race start (in traffic) making ¼ mile in 10.6 @128 with 'just' ~360Hp

Never did try a full-bore standing start with it, but I would be very surprised if it could not get below 9sec ¼'s

:thumbsup

Jamie's car sounds like a very well developed bit of kit. Must be some amount of £££s in it! Great to hear what can be achieved. 8)

There is a sequential box for the audience motor but it's 10k to buy and will cope with pretty much 6-700hp. My motor is build is good for that power level and the o2j box is proven to cope with 600+hp.
I've got 500 real hp and it's plenty. On track I was turning inside and out gunning a chipped r8 v10 driven by a bike racing nut. I've developed the car myself and done around 6000 miles since June without missing a beat.
I may be interested in converting cars in the future if there's interested parties. U can have a look on YouTube for tnb500, there's a clip of a gts 911 being humiliated near Monaco.
