Look I know Robin's right and that the article will have achieved it's aim of clickbait but FFS. Vacuous offensive bollocks.

Just read this and it makes me really angry! Regardless of wether it was done to boost chatter or whatever it's disgusting.
Taring everyone with a nice car with the same brush.
I suppose she drives a leaf and always sticks to the speed limit and is the perfect driver and citizen.
Wouldn't be surprised if she wears £800 jimmy choo shoes and has a £1k fends bag or whatever because they are essential, practical items

It's not about cars, she probably thinks it is because she is clearly think as mince, but it's pure Socialist Worker politics of envy. There is no difference between keying a car and throwing ink on someone's pretty dress...

Absolute Hopkins-esque click bait, designed to send car forums into a froth :)

Good, measured response here: http://www.heraldscotland.com/opinion/1 ... gitimised/

Perhaps buy her a ticket for Alton Towers Smiler ride, that would provide the fun.

We need to be careful here. Of course what she has written is wrong. It would also be wrong for her to be on the receiving end of threats of sexual assault. Were she a man, would the comments above have involved references to shagging? I very much doubt it. It's a carefully laid trap and you are falling into it ... I can already imagine the follow up article now in which she plucks choice comments from testosterone fuelled car forums full of misogynists. Just saying.

Guardian business plan right there.

Click bait to get them in then opposing click bait to get them in again...

I suspect she'll have far better fodder on other car enthusiast fora than anything which has been posted here Robin.

But I get your point.

As previously said, my biggest shock is how such a loaded "piece" has made it through the editorial processes for public consumption. And there was me naively thinking the Herald wasn't tabloid gutter-press...
