Hope you all have a great time, had tried to make it a Team Ford outing but failed to make the business case stick.

Maybe next year!

Got back on dry land today, but my plan to nip along to Alford prior to heading home was foiled by Enterprise Rentacar's seemingly relentless ineptitude. Ended up getting a lift to Dundee by a complete (and very kind) stranger, who happened to be going home to Merseyside...

Thanks Tony for organising today's Speedfest. :thumbsup

We met some new faces throughout the day and the weather stayed dry and warm compared to yesterday's weather. Lots of nice cars to see and the new McLaren 570s was gorgeous. :love Good to see Brandon and Gary up from MMC and also Clarky keeping up the sideways action with everything he drove.

She was not terrified at all Andrew, she loved it. I was the one who was worried incase I binned my car into the haybales.

Clarky, Stag,

You car driving/handling skills are pretty good :thumbsup

Good entertainment, but you need one of those big hands when waving to the crowd.

I've uploaded a couple of photos to Facebook for those who hasn't yet seen them. Should hopefully be at least one of every car that took to the track.

Thank you so much John - your pictures are wonderful. I know that people are always excited to see pictures of their own car... but as Organiser Im delighted to see the action which I missed all day whilst running around trying to make sure everybody else was having a good time.

Feedback appears to be a resounding :thumbsup and it also looks like we have smashed all visitor numbers for any SpeedFest event ever!

Watch this space everybody because we have much bigger plans for the future - and will announce them as soon as we have more firm news.

Without your enthusiasm to come along to spectate and compete there would be no events like this in Aberdeenshire - so thanks SO MUCH to everybody who came along yesterday.

A special thanks to Clark for all of this hard work - god, Ive never seen the boy nervous before - but he really was yesterday afternoon before he took to the track as the Stag. Clark has been on hand throughout the planning of SpeedFest - lets call him our "racing driver advisor" - and has added much to the event over the past 2 years. I firmly believe that the entertainment feature at the end of yesterdays event which involved Steve & Clark (and my best man as the commentator) elevated SpeedFest into a proper entertainment Event. It could have very easily fallen flat on its arse - but for the determination and commitment of those involved to make it a success.

Thanks must also go to Iain Macfarlane who tirelessly helped me to "dress the track" with all of those banners on saturday - and also very ably took control of the traders when I had to attend last minute meetings. Having spent 10 months or so working as a team of 3 at Black Dog Events, we very quickly realised on Saturday that without everybody mucking in and helping that we would have easily been in the sh*t.

I hope you all enjoyed seeing MMC up this far north, and I look forward to seeing what Brandon brings next time (I know he was eyeing up the Porsche stand jealously, so here is hoping for some monster sized Mobile Sales Unit for our next event!

Cheers to everybody who has wished us success........ thanks again!
