I only made 9,011 posts on SE1, but I was shy in those days.

I measure SE1 from the first meeting at Star & Garter hotel, Linlithgow, in April 1999 :-)

10 years ago next month I was moving back to Scotland in my S1.

Did BCBBS predate SE1?

Similar experience, I remember back in 2000 them telling me I couldn't afford a 97 4cyl Esprit GT3 they had in their showroom.. They also had a 99 V8 Esprit in there that I took a shine to, I was too scared to ask about that one after the response about the GT3. I found an ad on internet for a similar car, so I bought the car, it was in fact the one in their showroom on SOR, saved £10,000 in the process.. Felt great truning up there to get it serviced the next week hahahaha.... To be fair their price would have seen it delivered, serviced and on new tyres... Oh the glory days..... These days I have no Lotus but plenty of kids to keep me entertained  ... Damn I need a Lotus, the best way to capture any quality me time..

Sanjoy

Pre SE1 the founders had stumbled across each other on newsgroup alt.cars.lotus

Thems were the days.

Remember the slow speed moving everyone from SE1 to SE2

Had my 111R and since had the Toxic Frog and my current Elan Sprint. :thumbsup

Only 2 TTs for me ( but they were great ) but many gravel-rash road runs ! Surprisingly never stopped by the BiB on an SE run
