Sheesh that is a good deal then!
We tried to get the same again this week but the BMW deal was gone, and the XC60 was up around £30 per month more

I think maintenance normally adds about £30 or £40 a month so you got really good deals there. 8)

Golf R is back at Central (UK) Vehicle Leasing for June delivery.
2 year contract, 8k miles per year, £2,000 initial payment + £185 per month (all plus VAT)
According to my maths that's £322 per month all in.
The 5dr is another £1 per month. The DSG is another ~£25 per month.

Thinking about a golf R on a lease deals. Have all the good deals ended for these now?

Yes sadly those crazy R deals are no longer available.

A friend of mine was looking at one a few months ago but ended up going for a Focus ST which he bagged for just over a couple of hundred pounds a month inclusing value added tax. It's a bit cheaper inside than the Golf but a great thing to drive.

I've also seen M135's at £200+vat from time to time worth keeping an eye.

Thanks Jeremy,

Still keen to get an R but I'll have a look at the others today.

The M135 would be a good family car for us...if I could just get past the look of the thing!

Agreed, and after getting accustomed to the new rear lights I actually think these look better now too.

Bit of a curving ball maybe but a couple of months ago I seen 335d M Sports with auto just under 200 plus value adding tax. Deals are changing all the time so it pays to keep an eye. Particularly towards the end of each sales quarter. We're just into Q4 but watch again how some scarcely believable deals appear Mid December.

Maybe not what you're looking for but I saw deals for Skoda Yetis which I thought were pretty good:

£2k down and £99 per month for an SEL spec, £124 for a top of the range 4x4 L&K. Can't remember what engine but it wasn't a base one.
Those prices include VAT.
Thought that was ridiculously low and may be of interest to someone.

So, my brother in law tasks me with finding some cheap wheels with winter capabilities as they live in the middle of nowhere. Nonce of those lease offers though, cash purchase only.

Then I show him this.

Then he places an order, like an excited schoolboy.

Just thought I'd post it up in case it is of use to someone else. It is so cheap that I'm tempted myself, even although I have no need for it.

Jeremy.

Nice. Although we'd blitz that mileage limit in no time!

Nice cars, those scouts. And cracking deal, but isn't that business use only?

My brother in law has no business, but his deal is for identical terms on a personal lease. I've heard of some places enforcing the business criteria but seems rare especially with some many people taking personal lease in lieu of company car.

Campbell, you have 3 options. Pay for extra miles in advance. Pay for extra miles in arrears. Lease 2 x Scouts simultaneously. Whichever works out cheapest

Paying for extra miles is no different to walking in off the street with £27k in a suitcase and buying your Scout with cash. Trade it in 2 years later and you'll take a bigger hit if the car has done 40k than if it has done 16k. Both ways, you pay to cover the hit of the extra miles.
