My two encounters with vans in last 7 yrs have been at 82 tuts precisely. M-way and dual carriageway. Sair fecht but them's the rules :-/

The Elise speedo proved very accurate...the MINI's is not...

Tut, I'm afraid 109 in a 60 is going to make the papers...let's have a sweep on the headline:

Just wondering which jail they will put me in Campbell, I think Peterhead is closing.

Unfortunately there was also a happening 20 mins before which is not postable, but the team on Spazz know the details.

Love the Spike story (if it's the one I think it is!).

Do they not know who you are! I'm thought these laws were guidelines for the likes of us.

Senility would be true pete as the Spazz team found out, one bloody accident/cock up after another (not on track) which is why it will be the final one.

The good thing is that the speeding offences are secondary to the great time that I had with you lot and on track, unfortunately it will affect Verian more than me, not planning anymore track events this year, though I will miss our road runs and camping weekends.

Tut Towers is now up for sale, we know what we are looking for as a replacement and have already viewed several so easy to make out a short list, the favourite is eight miles away so staying in the area. It will have space and land around it so the dogs will be OK without me having to drive them to a walk. The ban will affect me about 1% of what it would for most of you.

No way that N3 will be sold, aiming for 75 at least to still be driving her, hopefully longer but maybe at a reduced pace. Just need to get the brain in gear as well as the car, but I reckon those pesky Neutrinos are having a go at me.

Sorry to hear tut. Is it usually min 1 year ban for totting up or can you get a 6month ban?

For the speed (rather than totting up) it is 1 to 12 months ban for more than 30mph over the limit, previous offences will influence the length of the ban but I would guess the speed and (unfairly) type of car would suggest it isn't going to be at the lower end of the scale.

Whilst I was seeing your exploits in a bar somewhere in Europe via FB another man of a vintage similar to your own was on my couch completing crossword and sudokus before another early night... Much better to follow your lead and grow old (ish) disrespectfully.

Sorry to hear Tut and hope they don't go OTT. If your new house has decent land attached then time to build your own track at home me thinks :cheers

That is not strictly true. Years ago I got caught at 103 in a 70 and they let me keep my license.

They definitely seem biased towards the car. They were especially arseholes when I was speeding in a hot hatch.

Should they not take the fighter pilot quick reaction time that you are capable of and have displayed for Queen and country into account?

I know I'm often paranoid, but maybe this thread would be best in an SE only section? It wouldn't be good if anything said here to affect the judgements in any way, no matter how unlikely.

I am going to unashamedly bring in anything that I can to reduce the ban. I have just started a letter going through the three Wars that I went through, injuries suffered including the brain ones, present scare which may or not be positive, panic attacks which do actually happen when I lose the group, ask Robin, but at the end of the day I was guilty, pleaded so, so it is just a case of damage control.

Panic attacks when you lose the group when out on a run?

Hopefully the damage is minimal/during winter.

Thought about that Ferg, but nothing that I have said should affect anything that they already know, the chances that they read anything on here are minuscule, and as they already have me by the short and curlies, there is not really anything else that they could get out of it.

And to be honest, I really could not give a fcuk, it happened, I will get hammered, twas my own fault, I am not losing any sleep over it, it counts for nothing compared to the other situations that I have gone through, so will sit it out, learn from it, and be back when they decide that I am not a danger to the community anymore.
