I took the bus up the town to see the Gumball cars in Rutland Street
So i bought a day ticket @ £3.50
I used it on the tram to go from Coates Cres to St Andrew Sq - took about 5 mins.
only 1 stop inbetween & that was Princes St.

couldnt fault it.
well worth the 750 million ...........
Two negatives make a positive but only in Scotland do two positives make a negative - 'Aye right.'

Campbell, if you are travelling on a business trip I think you can afford the 3.50 ... else it might not actually be worth going on the trip ;-)

It's priced to be comparable to the Airport Express bus from town, I guess.

Cheers,
Robin

The airport bus pricing used to wrankle too, if only wishing to travel a couple of stops eg to Maybury.

Anyway, my Dad always said take care of the pennies and the pounds will take care of themselves ;-)

As it happens even a fiver for the tram to the airport beats £15-£25 for 24 hrs airport parking. I could actually cycle for free but not sure if anywhere to leave a bike at EDI? And as for showers...!

Not sure what you mean? The tram goes to the airport. No need to get a bus at airport end.
Both wrong. We need a mono rail. I think I will start an online campaign.

No, I am right. The tram does go to the airport. You might argue it shouldn't, or it should be a monorail (simpsons stylee), but that doesn't change the fact that it does go there now. :-)

Airport parking is a complete joke.

I had to pay £4.50 to pick someone up from Glasgow Airport a couple of weeks back.
I arrived at the car park after the flight arrival time, the flight was supposedly early, but by the time they had disembarked and sorted luggage out, and we headed straight back to the car, you're looking at 30 minutes!

Which is why there's now a massive traffic jam of cars in the (free) drop off zone. Massive pain in the tits.

Will be pointless in a few years when we're all rolling in hire on demand electric city pods.

Although I live near Aberdeen I always use Edinburgh airport for holiday flights. I book in advance and use the short stay car park as I like to quickly walk to and from the terminal. Just checked the cost of our next parking which is nearly 9 days and it is £48. In short, book in advance and it is quite reasonable.
Cheers

I take the approach of avoiding the airport (and thus flying) at all costs - nothing against flying, but I find the whole airport "experience" makes me want to wield the axe of justice, and wield it liberally at that :-)
