Yep it has, also mentioned that to Jim in pm.

The Turbo wheels do not do not do any favours to the Spyder and look pretty ugly.

As you may know the desirable spec for a Spyder is:
- manual box
- Spyder wheels
- carbon buckets
- sports Chrono
- Porsche sports exhaust
- short shift
- carbon brakes (although very few also have the above)

Also the lack of PCM and Aircon is also desirable for the minimising weight ethos.

That spyder in abz has been a real sticky car for them. It's dropped £5k since original pricing and they still can't get it to budge.

It's on SOR so price change must have been agreed by the owner who now has a new one.

I asked if the tyres would be changes as they seemed shredded, never heard anything back.

I went back to see it yesterday with Wendy and made it clear I would buy it, but not without the proper Spyder alloys fitted. Looking at a couple of others as well, but the alloys are a deal breaker for me.

How do you know it is SOR? I didn't think to ask.

There was one on track at Donnington end October - i seemed pretty quick & sounded nice too.

Interesting article:

Looks like the purist choice (between the new/old models) seems to be that the 987 is better. Not driven the new 981 Spyder but after driving the 981 Boxster S I definitely felt that that extra bit of feel had been lost.

Got a 1 owner, low mileage, manual car with all the necessary "must have" options. Buying a 2 seater convertible in Yorkshire when it is snowing outside gets a very very very good deal

Decided to move on my V8 Vantage after 2 faultless years and the value of that has held up really well to the point that making the change was a no-brainer really. Should collect it next week.... assuming the Aston doesn't blow up on the way down :)

Mega thanks to George for answering all my questions in the background :thumbsup
