OK, as that's obviously aimed at me what are you trying to say?

that when I see a car for sale that I have first hand knowledge of, and it's a Bag-O-Crap, I say nothing and let some poor sap spend their hard earned on it?

The history of this car is pretty well all out there, starting on Selcock and a few other forums, simple facts are it was a massive bodge.

Yes, I am sure some think a VR6 is a nice engine, (I don't) but even if it is, the way it's installed is not nice, so the only reason for having it is just so that you can say you have a V6 Elise (much the same as that Woodspeed Yota V6 install).

(And no, my views have nothing to do with what I may or may not have done engine wise in the past)

Simon has his own way of putting things but is slowing down in his old age, :D but this is nothing personal, he knows that will not be accepted, tis just that he knows the car well, whereas to us it just looks like a good idea for a different type of conversion.

Hi Simon,

I suspect what riles people is your choice to post this:

bargain!
When what you meant was this:

The latter makes perfect sense. The former could be interpreted any number of ways. If your goal was to protect a sap, why would you make such a vague comment first? Unless of course you enjoy stirring up a little argument now and then.

You report the post, using the small red triangle (assuming reading via browser...not sure how Tapatalk implements this).

One of the Mods will then look into it.

I thought you meant that you were not a fan of the engine or the install, in other words you could so easily have been belittling the type rather than this specific car.

I didn't think that you meant "be careful, this car has a known history and it's not good reading."

Maybe I just don't understand English very well.

Cheers,
Robin

Mr Scuffers (if that is your real name),

I kind of appreciate your posts. I like the blunt honesty. I like the knowledgableness (dam you spell checker it's a word if I say it's a word) of your posts and your willingness to share. If that car's a bodge I appreciate your input (but know that if we are sued we will give up your name, address and ip faster than <insert appropriate simile here>).

I do appreciate slightly less your ability to annoy bloody everyone (ironically except me) with your rather aggressive postal tone. If you would make an effort to address that in the future that would be splendid.

Anyway who wants a v6 in an Elise. No-one that's who.
