Just had a mail from previous owner of "my" Lotus...will be getting transported to MMC in the next couple of weeks............hopefully just a basic service then up to Perthshire. Can't wait, winter weather's been OK and my winter wheels has been a 90hp citroen estate....good on diesel but jeeeezus it's boring.

Anybody need an exciting, frugal & practical estate car
Surplus to requirements, only 1 careful owner before me,Lothian & Borders Police!!!
Must go to a loving home :D

Feck yeah :D
Had most of the winter with nothing to look forward to......was seriously contemplating a TVR Griffith, cos I liked the torquey 5 litre engine but that was also a negative....basically a very old engine and standard management is cr+p.
Bought "correctly" should be a reasonable "investment" as far as depreciation goes also.....anyway all in the past...very happy with my purchase.
Not sure of it's camping suitability but we'll try....can always take the Landy to carry the gear,or should I say Mandy can carry all the gear in her Landy!!
See you all Sunday.

Cheers Dom,have found the luggage rack previously.....seems a helluva expensive for what it is,guessing it's priced in this way as a low volume sale.
Tow bar I hadn't seen before on that site although I recall a website that sold a kit to make the rear clam hinge back for access and I think they did a tow bar.
Thanks guys, will sort something out for camping trips...planning the continent next year and managed 2 weeks worth of luggage on the KTM so will be packing light :D

That's the very one. Would look strange, an Elise towing a trailer.

Not if the trailer was shaped like the rear half of an Elise...not an original idea, but always a belter :-)

That clam hinge kit is ingenious, one of the items to buy if you had the spare cash.

I know, I've been emailing them to see if they'll create something similar for the Evora but they said they've got too many other things in development at the moment.
Might happen in a couple of years.
