Re: Thieving scumbags...
This has been a bit of a wake up call for me and my family. The fact there was people in the house when they were asleep upstairs is really unnerving. Also the fact I was not there at the time and not able to do anything. So I will be getting an alarm and CCTV fitted when I get home, it is a case of shutting the door after the horse has bolted though. The mrs has dealt with it very well considering.
I have no idea what will happen with these guys. As I said in my first post they caught 1 of them and the police know who the other 2 are. They will most likely get a slap on the wrists and sent on there way. Free to go and do the same to someone else.

My CCTV cams have a nice red glow to their IR lights which I hope acts as some deterrent.Mikie711 wrote:All this reminds me why I wanted a descent CCTV system. Not really a deterrent unless they spot the cameras but so they might be identified. Both cars are fitted with trackers but the R8 has the version that can be tracked real time on any laptop, phone or pad.
Same here though, keys kept downstairs in plane sight once you are in. Rather they found them a left than rake through the house.
There is of course only one tried and tested deterrent.

I'd have thought CCTV would be of little concern to these thieving scumbags, once you've got your cap on with your hoodie over the top - unlikely to be identified! However, given a serious lack of intelligence present in most, they'll probably think it's cool and record a selfie for their mates!

Thieving scumbags...
We have a key stash, very difficult to find. The house is also alarmed with monitoring and anyone wanting to get to us up stairs would have to go through the dogs. They're not big but they're very loud and bark at anything that moves.

CCTV and big barking things here as well.
I would be impressed if anyone found the car keys after Wendy has put them away anyhow. I certainly can't!!
