I like the Galaxy Note 3 with Galaxy GEAR included.

I have the Note MK1 on 4.2 , its been a fantastic phone.

Galaxy Mega looks interesting too. A real "Phablet" with a 6.3" screen.

Having considered all the advice I've bought a Nexus 5. Should get it in a couple of days (you know I actually feel slightly bad I didn't listen to anyone's advice, but this is new so it must be better.)

The Apple thing is really annoying me, iOS 7 has noticeably degraded my phone planned obselesence, that's what it is. They might as well reach over teh Atlantic and just switch it off to make me replace it.

Mavericks is doing the same to the MBA, my battery life is down to 2hrs now from the 8hrs before installation, and there is deep unrest in the Apple tribe.

Are you saying your MBA 2013 used to give 2 hours battery life and now you've upgraded to Mavaricks (stupid name) you get 8 hours?

Tut, did you try the SMC and PRAM resets?

Also, if you run the energy app (search for energy in spitlight) does it show which process is using most power, if so, what is that process?

Cheers,
Robin

Er, you listened to mine;

So that's ok then. :)

Seems like I'm one of the few who didn't buy a nexus 5 last night, will have a look at them in the flesh over the weekend.

Yes. I listened to your advice (do you know I scanned that thread and missed your post so attributed the advice to someone else! Look the words stuck even if I couldn't remember who said it ;) ).

Can I take you up on your offer of tech help/suck teeth, drink tea and eat biscuits next week sometime...

Time to die. Possibly the best line in a film. Ever.

Other way around Robin, 8hrs before now down to 2hrs.

I carried out both a SMC and a PRAM reset, nothing happened the first time but then someone posted on the Forum that the buttons should be held for 10 secs, and that took me up to 4hrs, however that is still may down with what I got from ML. Apple will have to come up with a fix quickly as people are returning their machines in droves as NFFP.

This will give you an idea.
