And take some of Seoul and China with it? NK is not much larger than Scotland IIRC, certainly not much longer, I guess ther would be a fair bit of fallout over both borders, possibly over Japan and some major Chinese cities.

A couple of small ones would do woody, and they have nukes now that give virtually no fallout. :D

If you are talking about neutron bombs then the US don't, officially, have any ... that's not to say they might not find one "behind the sofa" but launching it against NK would be suicidal. Somebody would take it as an excuse for a tag along attack (e.g. Iran vs. Israel) and you would have your favourite book scenario ...

Cheers,
Robin

Name me a country (other than America) that has used nuclear weapons on an enemy?

And since we are on this line (and remembering the crap Iraq WMD justification for a totally unjustifiable war) name me a country (other than America) that has used 20 million gallons of chemical weapons on an enemy country?

I think that's paranoia. Those pressing the "launch" buttons know that the retaliation would be total with no escape for them or their families. I don't think NK would launch a first strike any more than we would. Nobody wants a repeat of the cold war scenario, though, so it would be better (selfishly) if we could prevent iran/nk type states from access to such weapons. Ironically those weapons could make those countries less secure as even China probably doesn't want NK to have nukes (it would have given them some if it did, no?).

Cheers,
Robin

No way would the USA carry out a first strike, and I like to think if the Megalomanic was so stupid to try a launch, it would be taken out either on the ground or in flight.

The biggest danger of a nuclear launch is a strike against Israel who would immediately strike back and end it straight away, but of course with devastating consequences apart from the immediate and following loss of life.

This would put all the world's nuclear powers on DEFCON 1, imminent nuclear war, and at that state a multiple launches would be a hairsbreadth away.

On top of that I do not see anyway with the progress in nuclear devices and miniaturisation, that a so called suitcase bomb will not be developed by a terrorist organization in the near future, or supplied to one, that would then be detonated in a major City.

Lol, I like the france surrendering post.
The NK guy sacked all the old generals etc and has already replaced them with his yes men.
China has publically came out after the last test and backed sanctions (it has never done so before, so it must also be worrying about where this is heading) NK has also refused chinas offer to act as a go between.
There is also a really good posting of kim replacing of joan in the snickers advert, changing into ganham style guy after eating the snickers (this may not be a factual posting, and may not help world peace) might also be worth a try.
I'd like to think that america has a defence against maybe 3 or 4 incoming weapons, and that they will not be able to retaliate with neuks, due to surrounding allies and powerful(china) enemies.
I do like that kim refused to see the top cia guy when he arrived, instead spending time with the american ex basketball player.
Slam dunk world peace

Will be interesting to see what happens with the china disputed islands, that could kick off in the very near future

We might have stolen lots of countries years ago, but at least we consistantly fire at the enemy, america in charge ... Oh dear..
Wasn't it bush that was banging on about his allies in the north being oppressed by the south at an interview ?
I hope someone else works the targetting devices
