Where in Glasgow are you? I joined Glasgow Uni gym as a graduate member and it's only £27.50 per month, full access and all the facilities you could need (Note to self: go to gym more!). It also has the added benefit of fit Freshers in a few weeks time! :) I think they let you join (but a bit more expensive) even if you're not a graduate of the uni. Also, Caledonian uni let non-uni people join and it's a really good gym, although doesn't have a swimming pool.

Also used to be a member of Bellahouston gym. It was under £30 per month and got me full access to any Glasgow City Council gym: Bellahouston, Kelvinhall, Scotstoun, etc. Pretty good value, but I didn't like the swimming pool as it was still a public swimming pool and full of wee neds.
I am on the South side . There are council Gyms at Eastwood and Barrhead which are £38 a month ( no off peak discount) . Eastwood gym is small but it does have a good pool . Going into town is a real pain at times and would reduce any saving especially as I plan to go at least twice a week.

Gym Membership??????????

Load of woofters........... Get your Lumberjack boots on, tartan jacket, big axe, and get into the forest like a real man and chop down trees.

Or in Shugs case, just have a w**k, uses up as much energy and is free.

Just got back from my guided tour of the gym , the place is really quite stunning . Pool area is very nice with a few hydrotherapy type gadgets and the gym itself is huge . All classes are included in the price and there is badminton and squash courts , I was very impressed but I did not show it.

More importantly there is a bar , free snooker and the receptionist was fit.

I got extra off the joining fee but she would not wave it . I will try again tomorrow but I think I will be joining .

Yes thats what sealed the deal  I dont think the hired guns were picked for their table waiting skills . There was also a few MILF's kicking about in the pool area but the gym was a bit disapointing totty wise .
