I only ever saw them once live, back in 1963 just before they hit the big time. The same with the Beatles in 1962, they were doing the rounds of the towns and cities to promote themselves, and they both came to our local gig, Victoria Hall in Northwich.

It was a bit bigger than our lounge, the early days of Rock n' Roll, did not mean much then, but it certainly got the girls hot, which was enough for us.
